This Dun Galloway bull calf will be our next bull!
White Galloways do well in our Minnesota winters with their thick coats. They are known to thrive on most kinds of forage, making them perfect for grass-fed beef.
Belted Galloways are a distinctive heritage breed from Scotland. These "Oreo Cows" have a double coat: a thick, coarse outer coat that sheds water and a soft undercoat for warmth. They can also stand our tough Minnesota Winters!
Our cattle are grass and hay fed for their entire lives. They graze on pasture during the warm months and are fed high-quality hay throughout the winter. We do not feed corn or grain, and our cattle have access to a mineral supplement year-round to help support their nutritional needs.
Many people choose grass-fed beef because it is naturally leaner than conventional grain-fed beef and often contains higher levels of beneficial nutrients, including omega-3 fatty acids, conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), vitamin E, and antioxidants. Grass-fed beef can also offer a more favorable balance of omega-3 to omega-6 fatty acids, which some consumers seek as part of a healthy diet.
Beyond the nutritional benefits, raising cattle on pasture allows them to express their natural grazing behaviors and enjoy a forage-based diet throughout their lives. We believe in a simple, transparent approach to raising beef, with an emphasis on animal care and quality nutrition.
We like knowing exactly where our beef comes from and what has gone into raising it. From pasture to plate, we are proud to offer beef raised the way nature intended, with grass, hay, minerals, fresh air, and plenty of room to graze.
